Fixing Anchor Bolts

Instructions for fitting Anchor bolts

Before fitting your anchor bolts please follow these SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. If you are fitting at a height, ensure that you have a safe and secure working platform.  If this is not possible, ensure that somebody is holding a ladder for you. Take care over packaging and other tools that may provide an obstruction. Use power and other tools in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.

 1. Anchor bolts provide a strong fixing in concrete, brick and render, and are suitable for holding spigots, window grilles and metal arches in place. You will need a 12 mm masonry drill and an adjustable spanner or a spanner that is the correct size for the bolt.

2. Position the item and mark where you would like the centre of each hole.

3.Drill a hole long enough to take the anchor bolt.

4. Put the item in position, insert anchor bolt and ‘screw’ in with the adjustable spanner. Put all bolts in place and then tighten fully.
