Please read through all the instructions before starting. Always fit the bottom hinge spigot(s) first. Please contact us if you have any questions and we will be happy to help.
1. Mark out the desired spigot hole locations, making sure that if it is a double gate the two bottom spigots are level with each other as are the two top ones. When fixing your gate, always fix the spigots to an upright and flat surface such as brick wall or concrete post. The fixing bolts supplied work best with concrete or brick.
2. Drill a hole for the hinge spigot. Fixing bolts on hinge spigots do not need rawl plugs – simply drill a hole in the pillar using a 12mm masonry bit.
3. Support your gate using a block of wood or similar at the required height. Somebody to hold the wrought iron gate straight can be a big help! Check the level with a spirit level.
4. Using anchor bolts, fit the bottom hinge first and then the top one. For security, turn the top spigot upside down.
